Randomness

I’ve been tagged by Put a Sock in it to reveal 7 or 8 (depends on whose blog you read) random facts about myself. I’m behind with all things Internet, so I apologise for not getting around to this sooner.

The rules are:

Rainbows..

We spent Sunday at Ollie’s Parents down in Somerset and on the way home we saw a lovely rainbow! I could see both ends! Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera handy, otherwise there would be a lovely piccie here.

On another rainbow-ish front, I have finished one of the Multi-coloured socks. [...]

Socks..

Knitting in the Mistry Household is progressing quite well. As you can see from my WIP list on the side, I’ve added more projects to work on. Unfortunately, I have added only. There has been replacements for the finished Wicked and Rusted Root, but there have been additions that are not replacements. [...]

Needles: 4mm Denise Interchangeables for main body and 3.75mm Denise Interchangeables for all ribbing.

Just wanted to say a few things, Rusted Root has bitten the dust.

I found, when I put the sleeve stitches on spare yarn, that I had too many stitches on the needles.  What I found I was doing was making an extra stitch after the lace panel.  I read the instructions and re-read [...]

Apologies, firstly, for promising piccies of WIP’s and then not delivering. Life has been a little manic lately.

This will be more a post of pictures, than blogging. Kai is tired and must get some sleep soon.

The Golden Compass

I first read abot Lyra’s world a few years ago when Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials Trilogy was released and I was completely captivated.

The idea of having a ‘Daemon’ that is external to me, my soul and is a reflection of me on a very personal level, fascinated me.
I’ve read theories like this before. [...]
